VLOGGER/JOURNALIST

KICKSTART SCHEME (6 MONTHS)

There’s always something going on around the St Helens community – and the more people we can have on the ground covering it and asking those tough questions, the better. Applicants should have: 

  • An interest in video recording and editing.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills for interviewing.
  • A willingness to travel around the town to where events are happening.
  • A relative degree of comfort in front of the camera, or a willingness to work on their screen confidence.

This is an excellent paid opportunity for a young person to learn on the job and become more engaged with their local community, while gaining the experience needed to break into a creative tech career. We are offering this position through the Kickstart Scheme, which is designed for young people aged 16-24 who are on Universal Credit.

SEO AND SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT

KICKSTART SCHEME (6 MONTHS)

The driving force behind any online business is their SEO (search engine optimisation) and social media presence. We’re looking for somebody to help run our social media – writing and scheduling posts, building our audience, and engaging with the people who connect with us online. This job will involve an element of learning graphic design to help keep our social media looking professional and consistently on-brand.

Applicants should have:

  • An interest in social media – learning how it all works and how to expand an audience.
  • A willingness to learn some graphic design – what works best on each platform, etc.
  • A level of organisation for scheduling posts and keeping on top of engagement
  • Good writing, interpersonal and communication skills for working with the online community, as well as our team of content creators.

This is an excellent paid opportunity for a young person aged 16-24 stuck on Universal Credit to learn on the job and develop their marketing skills, while gaining the experience needed to break into a creative tech career, possibly self employed. We are offering this position through the Kickstart Scheme, which is designed for young people aged 16-24 who are on Universal Credit.
